Piece of the Week: Coco

Coco was born out of curiosity. My fingers wanted to weave strands of freshwater pearls into a pretty, elegant bracelet.

Whilst weaving, it struck me that Coco would be perfect adorning the wrist of a dear friend. Naturally, I told her about the birth of this chic bracelet, and like me, she fell in love with Coco the moment she set her eyes on it. I am happy to say that Coco has found a loving home and can be seen around Jakarta’s social scene.

>Handmade Love From Me to You

The super woman behind Posie Patchwork got me hooked on this concept of handmade pay it forward.

“I promise something handmade to the FIRST 5 people who leave a comment here. However, to be eligible, you must repost this message, offering something handmade to 5 other people. The rules are that it must be handmade by you, and it must be sent to your 5 giftees sometime in 2011. Ready, set, GO!”

Now, I know that I love me some handmade goodies *making AND receiving them!* and am so excited to start making these 5 gifts. So start writing up your post (and no, you don’t have to be a craft genius to join in the fun), leave me a comment with the link to your post and the first 5 people will receive a piece of Aglaia on their doorstep. Let’s make this a fun start to 2011 🙂

TimeOut: New Beginning

A new school year. A new blog home. The road ahead is empty, waiting for me to walk it and paint pretty pictures here and there. And perhaps I can make a difference here and there, touch people’s lives.

across the sea

Going on a quick trip across the sea to Singapore. Trying out the newly downloaded wordpress for . Still learning, tweaking and trying out options on the new home for aglaia’s blog here on wordpress. My 3 months long holiday’s nearly over. Hopefully will be back to normal posting soon. Until then…
